Brief Position Description:
The Business Development Associate (BDA) will develop the quotation for proposal to client and manage the contract with territory research, intelligence gathering, and cold email/calls to contact potential new clients and generate new business leads.
The key responsibilities include:
Business proposal management:
Develops budgets and proposals by assembling information including project scope, objectives, outcomes, deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, resource needs, standards of performance, executive summaries, and organization credentials.
Determines proposal scope by studying requests for proposal, identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, and meeting with Therapeutic Area Heads and other clinical operations personnel as appropriate.
Gathers proposals information by identifying sources of information; requesting information and coordinating timely collection of information.
Ensures budget accuracy by using historical data for reference, implementing standardized quality checks, and vetting the budgets with key stakeholders.
Meets budgets and proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, preparing budgets, writing, review, and approvals.
Obtains approvals by reviewing proposal with key stakeholders and managers.
Delivers high-quality proposals by using proposal templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.
Updates job knowledge and skills by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks.
Contract Management:
Manage documents from creation to completion including analysis of contract templates; creating and maintaining files for each contract; prioritizing daily activities according to importance and urgency; adhering to department turnaround times; and managing the approval and signature process for each type of contract.
Receives requests for contracts and responds within expected turnaround time
Initiates and follows process for managing contracts under supervision of Legal Counsel
Receives inquiries throughout the process and responds in a timely manner
Tracks and timely records developments using electronic system on a regular basis towards contract completion
Manages documents from creation to completion
Prioritizes daily activities according to importance and urgency•Develops electronic solutions to manage the contracts
We’re looking for..
The BDA prefer at least 1~2 years of experience working in sales, marketing, or communications. Experience at a life sciences company or degree in science is preferred.
Base understanding of CROs and the clinical support service area
Good understanding of clinical operations
Has developed and implemented successful strategic plans with targets and timelines
Has experience working in a matrix position to leverage all aspects of the internal organization
Strong organizational skills
Strong selling skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to communicate with vendor sourcing and clinical operational people to gain information and develop a relationship
Educated to degree level(nursing, biological science, pharmacy or other health-related discipline preferred) or other equivalent experience.
